Paite Autonomous District Council, promised by Mizoram CM

Mizoram Chief Minister Shri Zoramthanga is said to have promised an Autonomous District Council for Paites in Mizoram.

According to Vanglaini daily newspaper from Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram, the newspaper claimed that Mizoram CM has made the promise to Paite Tribal Council (PTC) when he called on PTC leaders on May 14th 2007.

At present, there are three Autonomous District Councils in Mizoram State, namely Mara Autonomous District Council (MADC), Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) and Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC).

Only time will tell if the creation of the 4th Autonomous District Council will become a reality.
